Message In A Bottle

while the earth falls apart
and the birds fly away
creatures that lived above
grab whatever they think is safe

in search of an ark that soars on a cloud
they find the sky empty and dry
drowned in a light of stars that collide
wonder why the ending is such a lie

I am afraid that it may have slipped
from you mind; that the end is a message
placed in a bottle; that was smashed,
long before you wished to throw it on the bow

and it was written by a man
who swayed himself on a fence
with each side facing time
as a result of feeling out of place

after the party; the only thing you remember
is the day you wished of exploring a sea
far beyond the shore of your history;
wreckage everywhere

you are too flat to be able to sink, in the sand;
you better, wait until the tide runs you over
and
accept, you are just like a smelly fish
thrown out of the sailor's net,
where all the rest
were shells, empty and silent

and as you go deeper
remember
there is no abyss
nor ground where you can hide yourself and mold
your soul maybe forgiven
but you maybe not.

you wake up
in a bottle
dreamt of getting out
and what it seemed
reflected
is fallen upon you

and this is your only way to set yourself free
just write the end of your story;
and leave all the rest,
to have their own ending.
